The actress, 18, has gained 6lb, taking her from a size 6 to an 8-10, from comfort eating after dad Billy Ray said he was 'scared for her' in a recent interview.
Sources close to the 5ft 5in star have told Now she's desperate to slim down to her usual weight of around 7st 4lb before the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards on 2 April.
'Miley's got three nominations and is keen to not look as bloated as she has recently,' says a source.
'She's been comfort eating lots of fried chicken, mash and gravy.
But after she saw photos of herself looking bigger, she's been hitting the gym and has vowed to lose it all by 2 April.
